Description

Collect distinct names for the literal initials match, return found for any match and ambiguous for more than one distinct name.

Laboratory study records distinguish observations, sample identities, personnel, and supporting sources. Missingness and duplication depend on record scope; a metadata check cannot establish scientific validity or regulatory acceptance.

When to use this tool

Use GLP Signature Initial Legend Match when you need a laboratory-record consistency or source-support check.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter initials, legendInitials, names. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read found, ambiguous, matchingNames. Inspect found, ambiguous before interpreting the associated values.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Repeated identical names are not ambiguity; the tool does not authenticate signatures, distinguish people with the same name, or establish actual attribution.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the controlled study records and audit trail for the complete evidentiary chain. Resolve duplicate identifiers, sampling units, and authorization rules before drawing study-level conclusions.
