Description
Count pairwise inversions relative to that order and return rightHanded when the count is even.
Local geographic vectors use named east, north, and up axes. Azimuth is usually referenced to north, while algebraic projection angles may be referenced to east; axis permutations also change handedness.
Count pairwise inversions relative to that order and return rightHanded when the count is even.
When to use this tool
Use East North Up Axis Handedness Token when you need a local vector component, azimuth, or axis-order check.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter axisOrder. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read rightHanded, inversions. Inspect rightHanded before interpreting the associated values.
Require axisOrder to be a permutation of east, north, and up. Count pairwise inversions relative to that order and return rightHanded when the count is even.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| axisOrder | Axis Order | Required. Array of text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192; maximum items 256. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| rightHanded | Right Handed | Required. Boolean. |
| inversions | Inversions | Required. Safe integer. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The reference ENU frame is right handed. Axis order alone is tested; sign reversals, actual vector directions, and coordinate-reference transformations are not represented.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use the appropriate full frame transformation for global coordinates or changing local frames. State angle reference, orientation, axis order, and units before interpreting components.
