Description
Return angularSpeed times sine of headingRadians as eastAngularSpeed.
Local geographic vectors use named east, north, and up axes. Azimuth is usually referenced to north, while algebraic projection angles may be referenced to east; axis permutations also change handedness.
Return angularSpeed times sine of headingRadians as eastAngularSpeed.
When to use this tool
Use Great Circle Heading East Component when you need a local vector component, azimuth, or axis-order check.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter headingRadians, angularSpeed. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read eastAngularSpeed. Use the output convention below.
Return angularSpeed times sine of headingRadians as eastAngularSpeed.1

| headingRadians | Heading Radians | Required. Finite number. |
| angularSpeed | Angular Speed | Required. Finite number. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |

| eastAngularSpeed | East Angular Speed | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Heading is in radians clockwise from north under the north/east decomposition convention. Angular speed and output share a unit; this local component does not account for longitude-rate scaling by latitude or construct a great-circle route.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use the appropriate full frame transformation for global coordinates or changing local frames. State angle reference, orientation, axis order, and units before interpreting components.
