Description
Divide total leave days by total eligible person-days.
Survey display order, self-description, missingness, and record support are distinct research properties. Literal tokens and counts can preserve those distinctions without inferring a person's identity, preferences, or the meaning of an unprovided response.
Divide total leave days by total eligible person-days.
When to use this tool
Use Leave Share Person Day Denominator when you need a transparent survey-record, display-order, or time-use calculation.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter leaveDays, eligibleDays. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read leaveTotal, eligibleTotal, share. Use the output convention below.
Require equally long leaveDays and eligibleDays, each leave amount nonnegative and no greater than its eligibility, and at least one positive eligible amount. Divide total leave days by total eligible person-days.1

| eligibleDays | Eligible Days | Required. Array of finite number; maximum items 256. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| leaveTotal | Leave Total | Required. Finite number. |
| eligibleTotal | Eligible Total | Required. Finite number. |
| share | Dimensionless share on the numerator and denominator basis stated above. | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The aggregate is weighted by eligible days, not the unweighted mean of individual shares. Eligibility is supplied rather than determined from law, and no group identity or leave entitlement is inferred.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use the study's consent, vocabulary, missingness, and disclosure methodology for interpretation. Retain self-described information and assess sampling and privacy separately from local record arithmetic.
