Description

Return (net+fixedFee)/(1-rate), gross-minus-net fee and reciprocal gross-up factor.

Financial accounting arithmetic tracks amounts, balances, fees and allocations on a declared currency and sign basis. An algebraically consistent result does not authorize a transaction or establish an amount legally due.

Return (net+fixedFee)/(1-rate), gross-minus-net fee and reciprocal gross-up factor.

When to use this tool

Use Fee Gross Net Reversal Factor when you need a specified monetary balance or allocation calculation.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter net, suppliedFeeRate, suppliedFixedFee. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read gross, fee, grossUpFactor. Use the output convention below.

Require suppliedFeeRate below one. Return (net+fixedFee)/(1-rate), gross-minus-net fee and reciprocal gross-up factor.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Negative rates and signed amounts are accepted. The formula assumes a fee on gross plus a fixed fee; no contract, tax or payment method is selected.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile source ledgers and governing agreements using the intended currency precision and accounting policy. Include omitted fees, tax, timing and legal requirements before acting on a result.
