Emergency Simulation Event Marker Offset Tool

Apply an explicitly supplied signed clock offset to a training-simulation event marker without controlling equipment.

Description

Apply a supplied additive clock offset to a simulation event marker.

Emergency records distinguish event clocks, retrospective entry times, equipment dates, encounter identifiers and recorded triage or laboratory states. A supplied time gap is not a verified performance measure, and a recorded seal expiry does not establish equipment readiness. Simulation duty fractions and role labels describe training records rather than emergency-care instructions.

Apply a supplied additive clock offset to a simulation event marker.

When to use this tool

Use Emergency Simulation Event Marker Offset when you already have eventTime, suppliedClockOffset and need to apply a supplied additive clock offset to a simulation event marker.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter eventTime, suppliedClockOffset. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read referenceEventTime. Use the output convention below.

Return eventTime+suppliedClockOffset.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
eventTimeEvent TimeRequired. Finite number.
suppliedClockOffsetAdditive event-to-reference offset; this sign convention differs from a device-minus-reference offset.Required. Finite number.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
referenceEventTimeReference Event TimeRequired. Finite number.

Limitations and assumptions

  • The offset is additive, unlike a device-minus-reference correction. No actual clock calibration, event detection or clinical chronology is established.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the actual event, equipment and laboratory records with verified timing and the complete clinical workflow. Treat local flags and interval arithmetic as record checks; they do not supply triage, response protocols, safe staffing or an assessment of a real emergency.
