Description
hysteresis = chargeVoltage-dischargeVoltage; midpoint is their mean; comparable checks the absolute SOC difference <= tolerance.
Battery state-of-charge and efficiency terms need explicit sign, capacity, cycle and time conventions. Charge efficiency differs from energy efficiency, and an arithmetic update is not necessarily physically bounded or a battery-health assessment.
hysteresis = chargeVoltage-dischargeVoltage; midpoint is their mean; comparable checks the absolute SOC difference <= tolerance.
When to use this tool
Use Battery Voltage Hysteresis One Soc Point when checking one supplied battery charge, voltage or SOC contribution.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter chargeVoltage, dischargeVoltage, chargeSoc, dischargeSoc, tolerance. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read hysteresis, midpoint, comparable. Inspect comparable before interpreting the associated values.
Require chargeSoc and dischargeSoc in [0,1] and nonnegative tolerance. hysteresis = chargeVoltage-dischargeVoltage; midpoint is their mean; comparable checks the absolute SOC difference <= tolerance.1

} Limitations and assumptions
- Voltages are returned even when comparable is false. This is one supplied SOC-pair contrast, not a full hysteresis curve or verified equilibrium measurement.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
