Description
Flag inconsistent child/proxy reporting metadata.
Developmental research records may encode task eligibility, known responses, observer roles and withdrawal. A flag or support share describes supplied observations and does not independently assess a child, verify consent or establish a clinical interpretation.
Flag inconsistent child/proxy reporting metadata.
When to use this tool
Use Child Report Proxy Role Conflict when checking explicit developmental-study record and observation rules.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter reporterRole, childReport, proxyReport. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read conflict, recognizedRole. Inspect conflict, recognizedRole before interpreting the associated values.
Flag inconsistent child/proxy reporting metadata. Accept only reporterRole child or proxy; conflict checks simultaneous report flags or a declared role contradicted by the other flag. recognizedRole is true for all inputs admitted by this contract.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| reporterRole | Reporter Role | Required. Text; one of "child", "proxy"; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| childReport | Child Report | Required. Boolean. |
| proxyReport | Proxy Report | Required. Boolean. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| conflict | Conflict | Required. Boolean. |
| recognizedRole | Always true for accepted inputs: the input contract admits only child or proxy. Other role labels cause an error. | Required. Boolean. |
{
"input": {
"reporterRole": "child",
"childReport": true,
"proxyReport": false
},
"output": {
"conflict": false,
"recognizedRole": true
}
} Limitations and assumptions
- Other reporter roles cause an input error; supplied flags do not establish consent, capacity or legal authority.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use an approved study protocol and appropriate professional assessment for participant decisions, developmental interpretation or clinical questions.
