Patch Test Record Time Precision Tool

Keep a supplied research-record timestamp envelope without selecting a test-reading schedule.

Description

Return asymmetric recording-time bounds for a patch-test record.

Skin-image research can record scale, annotation geometry, visibility and timing. Pixel counts, mask components and supplied metadata are technical summaries rather than disease findings or proof an image is suitable for diagnosis.

Return asymmetric recording-time bounds for a patch-test record.

When to use this tool

Use Patch Test Record Time Precision when checking a supplied dermatology research image or annotation record.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter recordedTime, beforeWidth, afterWidth. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read earliest, latest. Use the output convention below.

Return asymmetric recording-time bounds for a patch-test record. Require nonnegative beforeWidth/afterWidth; earliest = recordedTime-beforeWidth and latest = recordedTime+afterWidth.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Time units are supplied; the bracket is not a recommended patch-test reading window or confidence interval.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use calibrated imaging and professional clinical assessment for any health interpretation; validate annotation and measurement methods separately.
