Demographic Taxbase Per Worker Term Tool

Calculate demographic taxbase per worker term from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Loading tool…

Description

Return a supplied worker cohort's tax base and revenue.

Demographic economic terms combine population, monetary flows, taxes and discount conventions. A local cohort contribution or supplied income comparison is not a complete fiscal projection, benefit entitlement or individual financial forecast.

Return a supplied worker cohort's tax base and revenue.

When to use this tool

Use Demographic Taxbase Per Worker Term when checking one declared cohort financial or fiscal contribution.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter workers, earnings, taxableFraction, effectiveRate. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read taxBase, taxRevenue, perWorkerRevenue. Use the output convention below.

Return a supplied worker cohort's tax base and revenue. Require positive whole workers, nonnegative earnings and taxableFraction/effectiveRate in [0,1]; base = workers*earnings*taxableFraction, revenue multiplies by rate.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Currency and period must match; actual taxable income and legal tax treatment are not determined.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use complete population accounts, applicable policy and justified economic assumptions before making financial or public-policy decisions.
