Description

Return assessed and collected pension contributions.

Demographic economic terms combine population, monetary flows, taxes and discount conventions. A local cohort contribution or supplied income comparison is not a complete fiscal projection, benefit entitlement or individual financial forecast.

Return assessed and collected pension contributions.

When to use this tool

Use Cohort Pension Contribution Month Term when checking one declared cohort financial or fiscal contribution.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter workers, monthlyWage, contributionRate, months, collectionFraction. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read assessed, collected. Use the output convention below.

Return assessed and collected pension contributions. Require nonnegative whole workers/months, nonnegative monthlyWage and contribution/collection fractions in [0,1]; assessed = workers*wage*rate*months and collected multiplies by collectionFraction.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • This assumes constant monthly inputs and does not establish legal collection, entitlement or fund sustainability.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use complete population accounts, applicable policy and justified economic assumptions before making financial or public-policy decisions.
