Public Event Language Slot Share Tool

Use an independently supplied duplicate-slot deduction rather than assuming language slots never overlap.

Description

Return supplied language-slot support after duplicate deduction.

Source support, credit and authorization are different concepts. Supplied flags and vocabularies can support record bookkeeping but cannot independently establish consent, cultural authority, equitable credit or legal reuse rights.

Return supplied language-slot support after duplicate deduction.

When to use this tool

Use Public Event Language Slot Share when checking one explicitly supplied support, permission or credit convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter languageSlots, simultaneousDuplicate, allSlots. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read uniqueLanguageSlots, share. Use the output convention below.

Return supplied language-slot support after duplicate deduction. Require positive allSlots, nonnegative languageSlots and duplicate amount <= their sum; uniqueLanguageSlots = sum-duplicate and share divides by allSlots.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
languageSlotsLanguage SlotsRequired. Array of finite number; maximum items 256.

uniqueLanguageSlotsUnique Language SlotsRequired. Finite number.
shareDeduplicated language slots/allSlots; inconsistent supplied totals can produce values above one.Required. Finite number.

Limitations and assumptions

  • The share may exceed one because unique slots are not capped by allSlots; actual multilingual access is not verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods
