Description
Return contextualized time share within authorized turn duration.
Source support, credit and authorization are different concepts. Supplied flags and vocabularies can support record bookkeeping but cannot independently establish consent, cultural authority, equitable credit or legal reuse rights.
Return contextualized time share within authorized turn duration.
When to use this tool
Use Ethnographic Turn Context Share when checking one explicitly supplied support, permission or credit convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter turnDurations, contextRecorded, authorized. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read authorizedDuration, contextualizedDuration, share, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.
Return contextualized time share within authorized turn duration. Require aligned nonnegative durations/flags; sum authorized time and its context-recorded subset; divide only for positive authorizedDuration, otherwise zero with defined = false.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| turnDurations | Turn Durations | Required. Array of finite number; minimum 0; maximum items 256. |
| contextRecorded | Context Recorded | Required. Array of boolean; maximum items 256. |
| authorized | Caller-supplied authorization assertion, without independent verification. | Required. Array of boolean; maximum items 256. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| authorizedDuration | Authorized Duration | Required. Finite number. |
| contextualizedDuration | Contextualized Duration | Required. Finite number. |
| share | Dimensionless ratio on the explicitly stated numerator and denominator basis. | Required. Finite number. |
| defined | Whether the stated denominator is nonzero; inspect this before using the associated ratio. | Required. Boolean. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Authorization and context flags are assertions, not verified consent, reuse rights or interpretive adequacy.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
