Description
Return nominal warranty expiry under a supplied calendar basis.
Consumer-study records can describe exposure, recall, option availability and purchase-value bases. Local record arithmetic preserves a supplied study or billing convention without measuring preferences, establishing memory accuracy or determining consumer rights.
Return nominal warranty expiry under a supplied calendar basis.
When to use this tool
Use Warranty Period Calendar Basis Token when checking a supplied consumer-record, recall-window, choice or basket convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter basis, duration, purchaseDay, suppliedExpiryDay. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read nominalExpiryDay, matchesSuppliedExpiry. Inspect matchesSuppliedExpiry before interpreting the associated values.
Return nominal warranty expiry under a supplied calendar basis. Require nonnegative whole duration and basis elapsed-days or caller-calendar; elapsed-days adds duration to purchaseDay, otherwise use suppliedExpiryDay; compare to supplied expiry.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|

| duration | Duration | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| purchaseDay | Purchase Day | Required. Safe integer. |
| suppliedExpiryDay | Supplied Expiry Day | Required. Safe integer. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| nominalExpiryDay | Nominal Expiry Day | Required. Safe integer. |
| matchesSuppliedExpiry | For caller-calendar this compares suppliedExpiryDay with itself; true does not independently validate expiry. | Required. Boolean. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- No actual calendar, statutory right or warranty condition is determined; caller-calendar agreement is tautological by design.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
