Choice Option Position Weight Tool

Calculate choice option position weight from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Select a supplied position weight under explicit indexing.

Consumer-study records can describe exposure, recall, option availability and purchase-value bases. Local record arithmetic preserves a supplied study or billing convention without measuring preferences, establishing memory accuracy or determining consumer rights.

Select a supplied position weight under explicit indexing.

When to use this tool

Use Choice Option Position Weight when checking a supplied consumer-record, recall-window, choice or basket convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter position, weights, origin. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read weight. Use the output convention below.

Select a supplied position weight under explicit indexing. Require origin zero or one, position within weights and all weights nonnegative; return weights[position-origin].1

Limitations and assumptions

  • No preference, rank-bias correction or empirical weight model is inferred from the supplied vector.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use actual study data, validated measurement methods and applicable merchant/consumer rules for substantive behavioral or transaction conclusions.
