Echo Angle Calibration Reference Gap Tool

Affine bench angle calibration against an explicit reference, without interpreting echocardiography.

Description

Return a linearly calibrated echo angle and reference gap.

Cardiac measurement formulas depend on geometry, units, calibration and reference origins. A Doppler projection correction, echo disc-volume contribution or waveform integral evaluates supplied quantities without validating image acquisition, signal quality or physiological interpretation.

Return a linearly calibrated echo angle and reference gap.

When to use this tool

Use Echo Angle Calibration Reference Gap when checking one supplied cardiac measurement, geometry or calibration term.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter recordedDegrees, suppliedZeroDegrees, suppliedScale, referenceDegrees. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read calibratedDegrees, gapDegrees. Use the output convention below.

Return a linearly calibrated echo angle and reference gap. Require suppliedScale > 0; calibratedDegrees = (recordedDegrees-suppliedZeroDegrees)*scale, gapDegrees = calibrated-reference.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The calibration and reference are supplied; no image, actual beam geometry or clinical adequacy is verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use validated acquisition and calibration, a complete appropriate measurement method and qualified clinical interpretation; assess measurement uncertainty and model assumptions separately.
