Description
Return residual diastolic time and cycle fractions.
Cardiac recordings use sample indexes, time origins, event markers and observation windows. A sample-grid count, interval conversion or phase comparison operates on supplied records; it does not detect an actual heartbeat, validate an ECG or determine a clinical diagnosis.
Return residual diastolic time and cycle fractions.
When to use this tool
Use Cardiac Cycle Systolic Diastolic Share when checking the stated cardiac-record indexing, timing, phase or coverage convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter cycleSeconds, systolicSeconds, unclassifiedSeconds. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read diastolicSeconds, systolicFraction, diastolicFraction. Use the output convention below.
Return residual diastolic time and cycle fractions. Require cycleSeconds > 0 and nonnegative systolic/unclassified durations whose sum fits; diastolic = cycle-systolic-unclassified, fractions divide systolic and diastolic by full cycle.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| cycleSeconds | Cycle Seconds | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| systolicSeconds | Systolic Seconds | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| unclassifiedSeconds | Unclassified Seconds | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| diastolicSeconds | Diastolic Seconds | Required. Finite number. |
| systolicFraction | Systolic Fraction | Required. Finite number. |
| diastolicFraction | Diastolic Fraction | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Unclassified time remains outside both fractions; phase definitions and actual cardiac timing are supplied, not inferred.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Inspect the actual recording, acquisition settings and event annotations; use validated analysis and qualified clinical interpretation for patient-related decisions.
