Description
Record a supplied phenophase code and source.
Botanical observations distinguish specimen provenance, sampling states, germination records, image area and category vocabularies. Excluded observations differ from failed germination, and a pixel-area calibration must use an area ratio rather than a length ratio. Source-qualified labels preserve reported identifications without confirming them.
Record a supplied phenophase code and source.
When to use this tool
Use Plant Phenophase Source Label when you already have plantId, phenophaseCode, source and need to record a supplied phenophase code and source.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter plantId, phenophaseCode, source. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read token. Use the output convention below.
Enter plantId, phenophaseCode, source using the field constraints below. Encode these values, in exactly that order, as a JSON array and return the serialized array as text in token. String values are preserved without trimming or external terminology lookup.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| plantId | Plant Id | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| phenophaseCode | Phenophase Code | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| source | Source | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| token | Token | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |

"phenophaseCode": "FLOWER",

},
"output": {
"token": "[\"P17\",\"FLOWER\",\"Protocol A\"]"

} Limitations and assumptions
- The result records supplied values without determining plant developmental state. Sources and asserted relationships are not independently authenticated.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Inspect the original specimens, observation logs, calibrated images and taxonomic sources. Use the complete survey or experimental method for biological interpretation; local fractions and record checks do not infer unobserved states or mechanisms.
