Description
Return an ideal bridge-divider imbalance voltage.
Bench measurements use supplied electrical/force references, contact geometry and calibration models. A bridge voltage, pressure or drift correction evaluates a local relationship while actual wiring, sensor response, safe excitation and biological contact conditions require independent verification.
Return an ideal bridge-divider imbalance voltage.
When to use this tool
Use Sensor Bridge Imbalance Voltage when checking the stated benign bench sensor, contact or calibration convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter supply, r1, r2, r3, r4. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read outputVoltage. Use the output convention below.
Return an ideal bridge-divider imbalance voltage. Require four positive resistances; output = supply*(r2/(r1+r2)-r4/(r3+r4)).1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| supply | Supply | Required. Finite number. |
| r1 | R1 | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| r2 | R2 | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| r3 | R3 | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| r4 | R4 | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| outputVoltage | Output Voltage | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- This assumes the stated resistor layout and ideal unloaded dividers; actual wiring, loading, temperature effects and safe operation are not verified.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
