Description
Return a fixture zero reference and corrected reading.
Bench measurements use supplied electrical/force references, contact geometry and calibration models. A bridge voltage, pressure or drift correction evaluates a local relationship while actual wiring, sensor response, safe excitation and biological contact conditions require independent verification.
Return a fixture zero reference and corrected reading.
When to use this tool
Use Load Fixture Zero Shift when checking the stated benign bench sensor, contact or calibration convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter unloadedBefore, unloadedAfter, loadedReading, useMidpointZero. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read zeroReference, correctedReading, zeroDrift. Use the output convention below.
Return a fixture zero reference and corrected reading. Use unloadedBefore or the arithmetic midpoint of before/after zeros according to policy; corrected = loaded-zero, drift = after-before.1

| loadedReading | Loaded Reading | Required. Finite number. |
| useMidpointZero | Use Midpoint Zero | Required. Boolean. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| zeroReference | Zero Reference | Required. Finite number. |
| correctedReading | Corrected Reading | Required. Finite number. |
| zeroDrift | Zero Drift | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The midpoint assumes an appropriate drift model; no actual zero stability, calibration or mechanical suitability is verified.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
