Speech List Presented Versus Scored Count

Reconcile explicitly presented and scored speech-list item counts without calculating a diagnostic score.

Loading tool…

Description

Calculate a supplied speech-list scoring coverage.

Hearing records depend on frequency, laterality, masking status, calibration and level reference. A no-response label differs from a measured threshold, while an air-minus-bone gap requires comparable test conditions. Device charge arithmetic and scalar signal offsets do not establish hearing status or suitable care.

Calculate a supplied speech-list scoring coverage.

When to use this tool

Use Speech List Presented Versus Scored Count when you already have presentedItems, scoredItems and need to calculate a supplied speech-list scoring coverage.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter presentedItems, scoredItems. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read unscoredItems, scoredFraction. Use the output convention below.

Require positive safe presentedItems and safe scoredItems in [0,presented]; return presented-scored and scored/presented.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Unscored differs from wrong or not presented. No missingness reason, test quality or clinical conclusion is inferred.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review original audiograms, instrument settings, test records and the complete clinical context. Use an appropriate professional assessment for interpretation; local unit conversions and supplied labels do not choose tests, presentation levels or intervention.
