Ozone Mixing Ratio Mass Density Term Tool

Ideal-gas conversion from a unitless mole fraction to mol/m3 and kg/m3 with caller-supplied SI gas constant.

Loading tool…

Description

Return ideal-gas ozone molar and mass density.

Gas-sampling conversions distinguish actual from reference volume, wet from dry composition and total from partial pressure. A supplied ideal-gas or constant-flow factor requires compatible units and state definitions without validating actual sampling conditions or exposure.

Return ideal-gas ozone molar and mass density.

When to use this tool

Use Ozone Mixing Ratio Mass Density Term when checking the stated gas state, sampling-volume or flow-basis conversion.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter moleFraction, pressurePa, molarMassKgPerMol, temperatureK, gasConstant. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read molarDensity, massDensity. Use the output convention below.

Return ideal-gas ozone molar and mass density. Require fraction in [0,1], pressurePa >= 0 and positive molarMassKgPerMol, temperatureK and gasConstant; molarDensity = fraction*P/(R*T), massDensity multiplies molar mass.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • R must be molar SI gas constant for mol/m³ and kg/m³ outputs; gas identity, nonideality and health interpretation are not verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use verified absolute pressure/temperature, humidity and flow calibration with the appropriate real-gas/sampling model when ideal assumptions are inadequate.
