Critique Turn Share Tool

Calculate critique turn share from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Return learner critique-turn share under an uncoded policy.

Studio-class budgets allocate supplied time, turns, places and materials. Reserved quantities and shared work affect the reporting denominator, and a negative remainder or undefined per-person amount is useful bookkeeping information. These arithmetic checks do not assess learning quality, accessibility or whether a real class can safely perform an activity.

Return learner critique-turn share under an uncoded policy.

When to use this tool

Use Critique Turn Share when checking the stated studio allocation, participation, capacity or time budget.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter learnerTurns, facilitatorTurns, uncodedTurns, countUncoded. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read denominator, learnerShare, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.

Return learner critique-turn share under an uncoded policy. Require nonnegative whole counts; denominator adds uncoded only when countUncoded, learnerShare divides or is zero with defined false at zero.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Uncoded turns are not assigned to learners or facilitator; participation quality and equitable discussion are not inferred.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the actual class plan, learner needs, usable resources and supervision requirements before organizing an activity.
