Pigment Particle Size Volume Ratio Tool

Equal-shape spherical particle scaling; no pigment chemistry or treatment conclusion.

Description

Return spherical particle diameter, volume and surface/volume scaling ratios.

Conservation measurements separate nominal material composition, contact geometry, expansion and mechanical response. A volume fraction or clearance term evaluates supplied properties under a limited model; actual material compatibility, treatment effects and object stability require examination and specialist judgment.

Return spherical particle diameter, volume and surface/volume scaling ratios.

When to use this tool

Use Pigment Particle Size Volume Ratio when checking the stated conservation material, dimensional or mechanical term.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter firstDiameter, secondDiameter. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read diameterRatio, volumeRatio, surfaceToVolumeRatioFactor. Use the output convention below.

Return spherical particle diameter, volume and surface/volume scaling ratios. Require both diameters > 0; diameterRatio = second/first, volumeRatio = ratio³, surfaceToVolumeRatioFactor = first/second.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • This assumes comparable similar particles; shape, composition and actual pigment behavior are not inferred.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use calibrated measurements, representative material tests and qualified conservation/engineering assessment before actual treatment, mounting or handling.
