Paging Request Queue Wait Time Average Calculator
Report actual completed request wait mean separately from pending right-censored lower bounds; no treating missing completion as zero or survival-adjusted service level.
Description
Completed paging waits and pending-request ages measure different things.
Completed paging waits and pending-request ages measure different things. Pending ages are lower bounds on eventual wait and should not be treated as completed observations or zeros.1
Report actual completed request wait mean separately from pending right-censored lower bounds; no treating missing completion as zero or survival-adjusted service level.
When to use Paging Request Queue Wait Time Average Calculator
Use this tool to report actual completed request wait mean separately from pending right-censored lower bounds; no treating missing completion as zero or survival-adjusted service level.
Prepare the inventory, measurements or policy dates for the collection and reporting period. Confirm units, record order and any independently established thresholds or permissions.
How to use Paging Request Queue Wait Time Average Calculator and understand its results
- Prepare the inventory, measurements or policy dates for the collection and reporting period. Confirm units, record order and any independently established thresholds or permissions.
- Enter requestSubmittedMinutes, requestCompletedMinutes, completedRequestFlags, asOfMinute using the field table and calculation rules, then run the tool.
- Read completedRequestMeanWaitMinutes, pendingRequestWaitLowerBoundsMinutes, completedRequestCount, pendingRequestCount. The explanation below defines the units, signs, ordering and any flags or placeholder values.
- If the tool reports an input issue, correct the values and run it again. Apply the stated assumptions when interpreting a successfully returned result.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type; see rules below | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| requestSubmittedMinutes | Request submitted minutes | list of number | Required |
| requestCompletedMinutes | Request completed minutes | list of number | Required |
| completedRequestFlags | Completed request flags | list of number | Required |
| asOfMinute | As of minute | number | Required |
Supply aligned nonnegative submission/completion minutes, binary completion flags and a nonnegative as-of time on one clock. Submissions cannot be future; completed times must lie between submission and as-of. Return the mean of completed waits, pending lower bounds and both counts. At least one completed request is required to calculate the mean.
Paired lists must be nonempty and have equal lengths.
completedWait = completion−submission; pending lower bound = asOf−submission Units, indexing, boundary conditions and exceptional cases are defined in the calculation rules above.
| Output field | Meaning | Value type |
|---|---|---|
| completedRequestMeanWaitMinutes | Completed request mean wait minutes | number |
| pendingRequestWaitLowerBoundsMinutes | Pending request wait lower bounds minutes | list of number |
| completedRequestCount | Completed request count | number |
| pendingRequestCount | Pending request count | number |

} Limitations and assumptions
Pending completion placeholders are ignored after type and nonnegative checks. The completed-only mean can be biased by unresolved slow requests; no survival adjustment or service guarantee is performed.
Numeric inputs must be finite. Follow the calculation-specific rules for overflow, underflow and exceptional cases. Numeric lists are limited to 100,000 entries; the rules above may require smaller limits. Missing required fields, extra fields, wrong value types and violations of the calculation rules are input errors.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use Takedown Request Response SLA Day Counter: Audit declared takedown response SLA using actual completion or censored pending age, retaining signed margin; no lawful takedown deadline or merits determination. For a complementary task, use Daily Retrieval Rate Productivity Metric Calculator: Separate successful retrieval productivity from failed attempts and actual productive shift hours; unlike QC digitization count, request success exposure is explicit and not a staffing recommendation.
