Slab Level Finish Build Up Tool

Add a nonnegative finish build-up to a structural slab elevation in consistent vertical units.

Description

Add nonnegative finishThickness to structuralSlabLevel for finishedFloorLevel.

Architectural quantities depend on dimension references, area boundaries, slopes, and construction allowances. A component calculation can describe a proposed geometry without establishing code compliance, structural adequacy, or buildability.

Add nonnegative finishThickness to structuralSlabLevel for finishedFloorLevel.

When to use this tool

Use Slab Level Finish Build Up when you need one explicit architectural geometry component using a common measurement basis.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter structuralSlabLevel, finishThickness. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read finishedFloorLevel. Use the output convention below.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Levels must share a vertical datum and unit; layered build-up, structural deflection, tolerances, drainage, and construction suitability are not modeled.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods
