Description
Update a supplied fish transfer count balance.
Aquaponic accounting separates nominal water volume, flow ratios, electrical input energy, fish records and solids mass bases. Tank/bed flow ratios do not determine hydraulics or suitable operation, and delivered or recorded feed wording does not establish consumption. Supplied factors describe limited scenarios.
Update a supplied fish transfer count balance.
When to use this tool
Use Aquaponic Fish Transfer Balance when you already have openingFish, transferredIn, transferredOut and need to update a supplied fish transfer count balance.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter openingFish, transferredIn, transferredOut. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read closingBalance. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative safe whole opening/in/out counts; compute opening+in-out exactly with BigInt and export a safe numeric balance.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| openingFish | Opening Fish | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| transferredIn | Transferred In | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| transferredOut | Transferred Out | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| closingBalance | Closing Balance | Required. Safe integer. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Negative discrepancies are retained. No actual fish, mortality, identity, stocking density, animal welfare or suitability is verified.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use verified system records and complete water, energy, biological and equipment assessment. Check actual conditions, animal needs and operating constraints before treating local balances or geometric terms as management decisions.
