Aquaculture Net Bag Count Remainder

Subtract supplied used net-bag count from available count, preserving negative stock discrepancies.

Description

Calculate a supplied remaining net-bag count.

Aquaculture records distinguish gross harvest, tare, retained water, sample expansion, feed withdrawal and recorded live counts. Delivered feed differs from ingestion, and nominal mesh geometry differs from behavior under load. Local mass, depth and energy terms do not establish animal welfare, water quality or suitable stocking.

Calculate a supplied remaining net-bag count.

When to use this tool

Use Aquaculture Net Bag Count Remainder when you already have availableBags, usedBags and need to calculate a supplied remaining net-bag count.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter availableBags, usedBags. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read remainingBags. Use the output convention below.

Require available/used nonnegative safe whole counts; return available-used.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input

Limitations and assumptions

  • Negative count discrepancies are retained. No inventory, bag suitability, animal handling or actual availability is verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review original weighing, sample, feed, water and equipment records. Use the complete veterinary, biological and engineering assessment for real operation; local record checks do not determine appropriate management or safe handling.
