Cultured Batch Single Mortality Record Shift

Revise one cultured-batch live-count record by replacing the previous mortality count with an explicit corrected count.

Loading tool…

Description

Adjust a supplied live-count record for revised mortality.

Aquaculture records distinguish gross harvest, tare, retained water, sample expansion, feed withdrawal and recorded live counts. Delivered feed differs from ingestion, and nominal mesh geometry differs from behavior under load. Local mass, depth and energy terms do not establish animal welfare, water quality or suitable stocking.

Adjust a supplied live-count record for revised mortality.

When to use this tool

Use Cultured Batch Single Mortality Record Shift when you already have recordedLive, correctedMortality, previousMortality and need to adjust a supplied live-count record for revised mortality.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter recordedLive, correctedMortality, previousMortality. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read correctedLive. Use the output convention below.

Require nonnegative safe whole counts; compute recordedLive+previousMortality-correctedMortality exactly with BigInt and export safely.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The prior mortality is added back before the corrected mortality is subtracted. Negative discrepancies are retained; no mortality event, cause or actual live count is verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review original weighing, sample, feed, water and equipment records. Use the complete veterinary, biological and engineering assessment for real operation; local record checks do not determine appropriate management or safe handling.
