Description
Calculate supplied solids dry mass from wet mass and dry fraction.
Aquaponic accounting separates nominal water volume, flow ratios, electrical input energy, fish records and solids mass bases. Tank/bed flow ratios do not determine hydraulics or suitable operation, and delivered or recorded feed wording does not establish consumption. Supplied factors describe limited scenarios.
Calculate supplied solids dry mass from wet mass and dry fraction.
When to use this tool
Use Aquaponic Filter Solids Dry Matter when you already have wetSolidsMass, suppliedDryMatterFraction and need to calculate supplied solids dry mass from wet mass and dry fraction.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter wetSolidsMass, suppliedDryMatterFraction. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read drySolidsMass. Use the output convention below.
Require wetSolidsMass>=0 and suppliedDryMatterFraction in [0,1]; multiply them.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| wetSolidsMass | Wet Solids Mass | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| suppliedDryMatterFraction | Supplied Dry Matter Fraction | Required. Finite number; minimum 0; maximum 1. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| drySolidsMass | Dry Solids Mass | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The fraction uses wet mass as denominator. No moisture measurement, solids composition, treatment or safe handling is established.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use verified system records and complete water, energy, biological and equipment assessment. Check actual conditions, animal needs and operating constraints before treating local balances or geometric terms as management decisions.
