Feed Meal Record Mass

Balance one recorded feed meal from before/after container mass and separately measured spillage; no ration is prescribed.

Description

Calculate supplied withdrawn and delivered feed mass.

Aquaculture records distinguish gross harvest, tare, retained water, sample expansion, feed withdrawal and recorded live counts. Delivered feed differs from ingestion, and nominal mesh geometry differs from behavior under load. Local mass, depth and energy terms do not establish animal welfare, water quality or suitable stocking.

Calculate supplied withdrawn and delivered feed mass.

When to use this tool

Use Feed Meal Record Mass when you already have containerBeforeKg, containerAfterKg, spilledKg and need to calculate supplied withdrawn and delivered feed mass.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter containerBeforeKg, containerAfterKg, spilledKg. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read withdrawnKg, deliveredKg. Use the output convention below.

Require nonnegative before/after container masses with after<=before and spilled mass in [0,before-after]; return withdrawn=before-after and delivered=withdrawn-spilled.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input

Limitations and assumptions

  • Delivered is a bookkeeping amount, not measured ingestion. No feed composition, suitable ration, actual losses or nutritional adequacy is assessed.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review original weighing, sample, feed, water and equipment records. Use the complete veterinary, biological and engineering assessment for real operation; local record checks do not determine appropriate management or safe handling.
