Description
Calculate a supplied feeding-log interval.
Aquaculture records distinguish gross harvest, tare, retained water, sample expansion, feed withdrawal and recorded live counts. Delivered feed differs from ingestion, and nominal mesh geometry differs from behavior under load. Local mass, depth and energy terms do not establish animal welfare, water quality or suitable stocking.
Calculate a supplied feeding-log interval.
When to use this tool
Use Feeding Log Meal Time Interval when you already have previousMealMinute, nextMealMinute and need to calculate a supplied feeding-log interval.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter previousMealMinute, nextMealMinute. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read elapsedMinutes. Use the output convention below.
Require nextMealMinute>=previousMealMinute; return next-previous.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| previousMealMinute | Previous Meal Minute | Required. Finite number. |
| nextMealMinute | Next Meal Minute | Required. Finite number. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| elapsedMinutes | Elapsed Minutes | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- No midnight wrap is applied. The interval does not verify feeding, determine a suitable schedule or assess nutrition or animal welfare.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Review original weighing, sample, feed, water and equipment records. Use the complete veterinary, biological and engineering assessment for real operation; local record checks do not determine appropriate management or safe handling.
