Fleece Tare Loss Balance Tool

Calculate fleece tare loss balance from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Return fleece tare/contaminant balance and recovery residual.

Animal-production budgets depend on measured quantities, population exposure and wet/dry or yield conventions. A per-animal quantity or material balance can reconcile records without establishing an appropriate housing, water or production target. Biological variation and welfare require independent assessment.

Return fleece tare/contaminant balance and recovery residual.

When to use this tool

Use Fleece Tare Loss Balance when checking the stated animal-record quantity, allocation or material basis.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter gross, tare, removedContaminants, recoveredClean. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read net, residual. Use the output convention below.

Return fleece tare/contaminant balance and recovery residual. Require nonnegative inputs; net = gross-tare-removedContaminants, residual = net-recoveredClean.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Negative values are retained; actual contamination, product quality and proper processing are not verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use verified representative records and qualified husbandry/veterinary assessment for actual animal welfare, facilities or production decisions.
