Fleece Clean Yield Grease Loss Tool

Calculate fleece clean yield grease loss from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Return clean fleece yield, total loss and adjusted mass.

Animal-production budgets depend on measured quantities, population exposure and wet/dry or yield conventions. A per-animal quantity or material balance can reconcile records without establishing an appropriate housing, water or production target. Biological variation and welfare require independent assessment.

Return clean fleece yield, total loss and adjusted mass.

When to use this tool

Use Fleece Clean Yield Grease Loss when checking the stated animal-record quantity, allocation or material basis.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter greasyMass, cleanMass, moistureAdjustment. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read cleanYield, totalLoss, adjustedCleanMass. Use the output convention below.

Return clean fleece yield, total loss and adjusted mass. Require greasyMass > 0, cleanMass within it and moistureAdjustment >= 0; yield = clean/greasy, loss = greasy-clean, adjusted = clean*factor.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • MoistureAdjustment is a multiplier and may exceed one; actual moisture basis and fleece quality are not established.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use verified representative records and qualified husbandry/veterinary assessment for actual animal welfare, facilities or production decisions.
