Description

Allocate simultaneous mentoring minutes under a supplied share.

Adult-learning records allocate supplied participation, contact time, credits and optional requirements. A local fraction or eligibility predicate follows the chosen counting policy; it does not assess learning quality, recognize a qualification or establish contractual entitlement. Excluded and optional components can change the denominator.

Allocate simultaneous mentoring minutes under a supplied share.

When to use this tool

Use Mentoring Turn Credit Balance when checking the stated adult-learning participation, requirement, text or time convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter mentorMinutes, learnerMinutes, simultaneousMinutes, allocatedMentorShare. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read contactMinutes, mentorCredit, learnerCredit. Use the output convention below.

Allocate simultaneous mentoring minutes under a supplied share. Require nonnegative times/overlap with overlap <= both and allocatedMentorShare in [0,1]; contact = mentor+learner-overlap, mentorCredit = mentor-overlap+overlap*share, learnerCredit = learner-overlap*share.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Credits sum to contact duration; the allocation is bookkeeping, not measured individual learning or fair participation.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the actual course plan, learner needs and governing credit/recognition policy with the responsible educational team for substantive decisions.
