Reflection Window Delay Term Tool

Calculate reflection window delay term from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Check reflection delay against a closed supplied window.

Adult-learning records allocate supplied participation, contact time, credits and optional requirements. A local fraction or eligibility predicate follows the chosen counting policy; it does not assess learning quality, recognize a qualification or establish contractual entitlement. Excluded and optional components can change the denominator.

Check reflection delay against a closed supplied window.

When to use this tool

Use Reflection Window Delay Term when checking the stated adult-learning participation, requirement, text or time convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter activityEnd, reflectionTime, earliestDelay, latestDelay. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read delay, withinWindow. Inspect withinWindow before interpreting the associated values.

Check reflection delay against a closed supplied window. Require 0 <= earliestDelay <= latestDelay; delay = reflectionTime-activityEnd, withinWindow includes both limits.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Negative delays are returned but outside the nonnegative window; no educational effectiveness or recommended reflection interval is established.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the actual course plan, learner needs and governing credit/recognition policy with the responsible educational team for substantive decisions.
