Learning Contract One Goal Weight Tool

Calculate learning contract one goal weight from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Return one normalized learning-goal weight and score contribution.

Adult-learning records allocate supplied participation, contact time, credits and optional requirements. A local fraction or eligibility predicate follows the chosen counting policy; it does not assess learning quality, recognize a qualification or establish contractual entitlement. Excluded and optional components can change the denominator.

Return one normalized learning-goal weight and score contribution.

When to use this tool

Use Learning Contract One Goal Weight when checking the stated adult-learning participation, requirement, text or time convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter score, weight, totalWeight. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read normalizedWeight, contribution. Use the output convention below.

Return one normalized learning-goal weight and score contribution. Require totalWeight > 0 and weight within it; normalizedWeight = weight/total, contribution = score*normalizedWeight.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Score may be signed and complete weights are not verified; no competency, valid rubric or credit award is established.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods
