Adult Learning Choice Count

Count available unique learning options from an explicit availability mask without selecting an option for a learner.

Description

Filter supplied learning-option codes by availability flags.

Adult-learning records distinguish self ratings, comparison criteria, acknowledgments, feedback states and recognized credits. Closing a feedback item can mean completion or decline, while a reported rating gap does not establish competence. Supplied priorities and evidence references need the broader learning context.

Filter supplied learning-option codes by availability flags.

When to use this tool

Use Adult Learning Choice Count when you already have optionCodes, available and need to filter supplied learning-option codes by availability flags.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter optionCodes, available. Follow any array-alignment requirements below. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read availableChoices, availableOptions. Use the output convention below.

Require aligned arrays and unique literal option codes; preserve available codes in input order and return their count.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Empty codes are allowed if unique. Availability is asserted, not verified; no access, suitability, learner choice or educational quality is assessed.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the complete goals, criteria, learner preferences, evidence and recognition policy. Use an appropriate educational assessment for learning decisions; local labels, time gaps and supplied credit balances do not establish outcomes or informed agreement.
