Description
Apply a supplied affine task-message unit factor.
Machine and field identifiers carry literal spelling, prefix, length and numeric-token conventions. Removing leading zeros can merge distinct identifiers, and a restricted task-token parser does not validate a complete machinery message or standard. Preserve original spellings when resolving ambiguous records.
Apply a supplied affine task-message unit factor.
When to use this tool
Use Task Message Unit Factor when checking the stated machinery value conversion or identifier-token convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter value, suppliedFactor, suppliedOffset. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read converted. Use the output convention below.
Apply a supplied affine task-message unit factor. Require suppliedFactor != 0; converted = value*factor+offset.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| value | Value | Required. Finite number. |
| suppliedFactor | Nonzero signed multiplier in an explicit affine conversion; not an inferred unit mapping. | Required. Finite number. |
| suppliedOffset | Supplied Offset | Required. Finite number. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| converted | Converted | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Factor may be signed; no unit vocabulary, message format, machine compatibility or actual calibration is verified.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
