Nutrient Blend One Component Balance Tool

Calculate nutrient blend one component balance from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Sum mass*fraction for component mass and divide by total blend mass.

Blend and nutrient balances require compatible component, material and accounting-period bases. Weighted mass fractions, unassigned carrier and included input/output terms answer different questions. A nominal available fraction does not determine actual biological availability or a suitable field application.

Sum mass*fraction for component mass and divide by total blend mass.

When to use this tool

Use Nutrient Blend One Component Balance when checking the stated blend, nutrient or accounting-boundary term.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter masses, fractions. Follow any array-alignment requirements below. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read componentMass, blendFraction. Use the output convention below.

Require aligned nonnegative masses and component fractions in [0,1], with positive total mass. Sum mass*fraction for component mass and divide by total blend mass.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Assumes compatible component and wet/dry bases and additive masses; no reaction, compatibility or mixing quality is assessed.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use verified composition, compatibility and full system balances with qualified laboratory/agronomic advice for actual chemical or nutrient management.
