Description
Return packageMass*percent/100 for each component and the unassigned remainder.
Blend and nutrient balances require compatible component, material and accounting-period bases. Weighted mass fractions, unassigned carrier and included input/output terms answer different questions. A nominal available fraction does not determine actual biological availability or a suitable field application.
Return packageMass*percent/100 for each component and the unassigned remainder.
When to use this tool
Use Fertilizer Label Mass Percent Total Term when checking the stated blend, nutrient or accounting-boundary term.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter packageMass, labelPercents. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read componentMasses, unassignedMass. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative package mass and nonnegative percentage numbers summing to no more than 100. Return packageMass*percent/100 for each component and the unassigned remainder.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| packageMass | Package Mass | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| labelPercents | Percentage numbers, for example 10 means 10%; not fractions such as 0.10. | Required. Array of finite number; maximum items 256. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| componentMasses | Component Masses | Required. Array of finite number; maximum items 256. |
| unassignedMass | Unassigned Mass | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Label entries must represent nonoverlapping mass components; mixed elemental/oxide guarantees are not automatically additive.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
