Subsidy Payment Delay Interest

Calculate simple delay interest from explicit amount, signed annual rate, elapsed days, and supplied day-count denominator without applying law.

Description

Calculate supplied simple interest for a payment-delay scenario.

Policy arithmetic depends on supplied rule editions, eligibility assertions, rate bases and accounting boundaries. A simple interest term does not select a legal rate, and passing recorded check flags does not establish program eligibility. Overspend and over-redemption can remain visible as signed discrepancies.

Calculate supplied simple interest for a payment-delay scenario.

When to use this tool

Use Subsidy Payment Delay Interest when you already have principal, suppliedAnnualRate, delayDays, suppliedDaysPerYear and need to calculate supplied simple interest for a payment-delay scenario.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter principal, suppliedAnnualRate, delayDays, suppliedDaysPerYear. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read simpleDelayInterest. Use the output convention below.

Require principal/delayDays>=0 and suppliedDaysPerYear>0; return principal*suppliedAnnualRate*(delay/daysPerYear).1

suppliedAnnualRateSigned annual decimal rate, not percent.Required. Finite number.
delayDaysDelay DaysRequired. Finite number; minimum 0.
suppliedDaysPerYearPositive supplied simple-interest day-count denominator; not a selected legal convention.Required. Finite number; strictly above 0.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Rate is a signed decimal annual rate, not percent, and no compounding is used. No actual legal rate, day-count rule, entitlement or payment obligation is selected.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Consult authoritative program rules and original budget, evidence and payment records. Apply the complete eligibility and legal process when local caps, date gaps or labels cannot determine an actual obligation or entitlement.
