Description
Conserve dry matter: standardMass=wetMass*(1-moisture)/(1-referenceMoisture); adjustment is standard-minus-wet mass.
Policy-related period and quantity calculations need explicit expiry boundaries, claim-season anchors and moisture conventions. Half-open periods differ from inclusive day counts, and moisture-standardized mass differs from observed wet mass. Supplied rules and reference values do not establish current policy.
Conserve dry matter: standardMass=wetMass*(1-moisture)/(1-referenceMoisture); adjustment is standard-minus-wet mass.
When to use this tool
Use Public Grain Storage Moisture Weight Factor when checking the stated caller-defined policy time, proration or material-basis convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter wetMass, moistureFraction, referenceMoisture. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read standardMass, adjustment. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative wet mass and observed/reference wet-basis moisture fractions in [0,1). Conserve dry matter: standardMass=wetMass*(1-moisture)/(1-referenceMoisture); adjustment is standard-minus-wet mass.1

} Limitations and assumptions
- A reference with more moisture can increase mass; this is not a quality grade, payment determination or drying process model.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
