Description
Dry mass=wet*(1-deliveredWater); contract-equivalent mass divides by 1-contractWater.
Agribusiness budgets distinguish capacity, elapsed time, person-nights, physical losses, usable pack contents and moisture-normalized mass. A nominal unit cost differs from total profitability, and a cold-storage fee says nothing about actual preservation conditions. The reporting basis must match the supplied quantities.
Dry mass=wet*(1-deliveredWater); contract-equivalent mass divides by 1-contractWater.
When to use this tool
Use Contract Delivery Moisture Adjustment when checking the stated business quantity, resource, unit-cost or material-basis convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter deliveredWetMass, deliveredWaterFraction, contractedWaterFraction. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read dryMass, equivalentContractMass. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative delivered wet mass, delivered water fraction in [0,1] and contract water fraction in [0,1). Dry mass=wet*(1-deliveredWater); contract-equivalent mass divides by 1-contractWater.1

} Limitations and assumptions
- All-water delivery is accepted as zero dry mass; the calculation does not establish contract quality, acceptance or actual drying outcomes.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use verified operating and contract records and a complete suitable budget or material assessment for actual financial, logistical or quality decisions.
