Black Rot Wetness Duration Risk Checker
Accumulate wet-interval equivalent dose against caller independently calibrated black-rot temperature/wet-duration curve, resetting on dry intervals; midpoint temperature approximation and additive hazard assumption exposed, no infection diagnosis or fungicide guidance.
Description
Temperature-dependent wet-duration calibration can represent accumulated exposure during a continuous wet episode.
Temperature-dependent wet-duration calibration can represent accumulated exposure during a continuous wet episode. A dry interval ends the accumulation.1
Accumulate wet-interval equivalent dose against caller independently calibrated black-rot temperature/wet-duration curve, resetting on dry intervals; midpoint temperature approximation and additive hazard assumption exposed, no infection diagnosis or fungicide guidance.
When to use Black Rot Wetness Duration Risk Checker
Use this tool to accumulate wet-interval equivalent dose against caller independently calibrated black-rot temperature/wet-duration curve, resetting on dry intervals; midpoint temperature approximation and additive hazard assumption exposed, no infection diagnosis or fungicide guidance.
Prepare vineyard measurements, dates or block records for the intended growing period. Keep weights, counts and weather observations in the stated units.
How to use Black Rot Wetness Duration Risk Checker and understand its results
- Prepare vineyard measurements, dates or block records for the intended growing period. Keep weights, counts and weather observations in the stated units.
- Enter observationHours, observedTemperaturesC, leafWetFlags, calibratedTemperatureKnotsC, calibratedRequiredWetHours using the field table and calculation rules, then run the tool.
- Read intervalEquivalentInfectionDoses, continuousEpisodeEquivalentDoses, callerCalibratedDoseThresholdExceeded. The explanation below defines the units, signs, ordering and any flags or placeholder values.
- If the tool reports an input issue, correct the values and run it again. Apply the stated assumptions when interpreting a successfully returned result.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type; see rules below | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| observationHours | Observation hours | list of number | Required |
| observedTemperaturesC | Observed temperatures c | list of number | Required |
| leafWetFlags | Leaf wet flags | list of number | Required |
| calibratedTemperatureKnotsC | Calibrated temperature knots c | list of number | Required |
| calibratedRequiredWetHours | Calibrated required wet hours | list of number | Required |
Use increasing hours and temperature knots, aligned positive required hours and one binary wet flag per observation interval. Interpolate every interval midpoint, including dry intervals, without extrapolation. Sum doses within wet runs and flag any episode at or above one; comparison workload is bounded.2
Paired lists must be nonempty and have equal lengths. Each sequence checked for increasing order must contain at least two strictly increasing values.
interval dose = wet interval hours/interpolated required wet hours at midpoint temperature Units, indexing, boundary conditions and exceptional cases are defined in the calculation rules above.
| Output field | Meaning | Value type |
|---|---|---|
| intervalEquivalentInfectionDoses | Interval equivalent infection doses | list of number |
| continuousEpisodeEquivalentDoses | Continuous episode equivalent doses | list of number |
| callerCalibratedDoseThresholdExceeded | Caller calibrated dose threshold exceeded | boolean |

} Limitations and assumptions
Midpoint temperature and additive-dose assumptions do not prove infection or prescribe fungicide use.
Numbers and computed results must be finite; overflow produces an error. Numeric lists are limited to 100,000 entries; the rules above may require smaller limits. Missing required fields, extra fields, wrong value types and violations of the calculation rules are input errors. A successfully returned false flag is an evaluated outcome; its meaning is explained above.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use Mildew Infection Period GDM Checker: Audit continuous leaf-wet intervals wholly within caller downy-mildew temperature policy and wet duration; observed exposure criterion is not pathogen presence, validated GDM disease model, infection proof or spray recommendation. For a complementary task, use Heat Wave Shriveling Risk Days: Count caller heat-wave duration policy on observed maximum temperatures; not baseline-percentile WSDI, measured berry water loss or shriveling/damage diagnosis.
