Description
Calculate volume-weighted diary support from complete and verified event records.
A research diary or bench measurement uses a defined observation window, clock, unit, and reference level. Missing timing, incomplete collection, and unverified measurements affect how a result can be interpreted. Record arithmetic and signal terms describe supplied data without establishing clinical status.
Calculate volume-weighted diary support from complete and verified event records.
When to use this tool
Use Diary Volume Support Share when you need a research-record or bench calculation with already supplied measurements, units, and observation boundaries.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter eventVolumes, completeRecord, volumeVerified. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read recordedVolume, supportedVolume, share, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.
Require aligned nonnegative eventVolumes and completeRecord and volumeVerified flags. Sum recordedVolume across all entries and supportedVolume only where both flags are true, then return their ratio when recorded volume is positive.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| eventVolumes | Event Volumes | Required. Array of Finite number; minimum 0.; maximum items 256. |
| completeRecord | Complete Record | Required. Array of Boolean.; maximum items 256. |
| volumeVerified | Volume Verified | Required. Array of Boolean.; maximum items 256. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| recordedVolume | Recorded Volume | Required. Finite number. |
| supportedVolume | Supported Volume | Required. Finite number. |
| share | Dimensionless fraction using the denominator stated in the mechanics; not a percentage numeral. | Required. Finite number. |
| defined | Whether the associated denominator or quantity is defined; inspect before interpreting a placeholder. | Required. Boolean. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- A zero total returns share zero with defined false. This is volume-weighted record support rather than event-count completeness, and supplied flags do not verify measurements or diagnose a condition.
- The field tables state structural bounds; the mechanics also specify cross-field constraints. Malformed inputs and unsupported domains cause errors. A successful false flag, empty branch value, or zero placeholder has the meaning stated above and is distinct from an input error.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Signed zero is exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use an appropriately validated measurement and analysis method for clinical interpretation. Verify diary completeness, clock conventions, and measurement units before combining these terms into a research summary.
