Private Scene Throughput
Calculate private-scene capacity from rooms, operating time, and turnover.
Description
Private scenes cycle a room through performance and turnover.
Private scenes cycle a room through performance and turnover. Capacity uses only complete cycles within the supplied operating window.1
Calculate private-scene capacity from rooms, operating time, and turnover.
When to use Private Scene Throughput
Use this tool to calculate private-scene capacity from rooms, operating time, and turnover.
Prepare production measurements or checklist records for one planning period. Confirm units, staffing assumptions and caller-selected criteria before running the calculation.
How to use Private Scene Throughput and understand its results
- Prepare production measurements or checklist records for one planning period. Confirm units, staffing assumptions and caller-selected criteria before running the calculation.
- Enter rooms, operatingMinutes, sceneMinutes, turnoverMinutes using the field table and calculation rules, then run the tool.
- Read scenesPerRoom, totalSceneCapacity, unusedMinutesPerRoom. The explanation below defines the units, signs, ordering and any flags or placeholder values.
- If the tool reports an input issue, correct the values and run it again. Apply the stated assumptions when interpreting a successfully returned result.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type; see rules below | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| rooms | Available rooms | integer; minimum: 1 | Required |
| operatingMinutes | Operating time (min) | number; minimum: 0 | Required |
| sceneMinutes | Scene duration (min) | number; minimum: 0 | Required |
| turnoverMinutes | Turnover duration (min) | number; minimum: 0 | Required |
Enter positive integer rooms and nonnegative durations, with scene plus turnover strictly positive. Return scenes per room, total capacity and unused minutes per room. Turnover is included in every cycle, including the last.
cyclesPerRoom=floor(operatingMinutes/(sceneMinutes+turnoverMinutes)); total=cycles×rooms Units, indexing, boundary conditions and exceptional cases are defined in the calculation rules above.
| Output field | Meaning | Value type |
|---|---|---|
| scenesPerRoom | Scenes per room | integer; minimum: 0 |
| totalSceneCapacity | Total scene capacity | integer; minimum: 0 |
| unusedMinutesPerRoom | Unused time per room (min) | number; minimum: 0 |

Rooms run independently at a constant cycle time. Staffing, participant arrivals and overlapping turnover are not scheduled.
Numeric inputs must be finite. Follow the calculation-specific rules for overflow, underflow and exceptional cases. Missing required fields, extra fields, wrong value types and violations of the calculation rules are input errors.
