Twist TPM Yarn Setting

Invert desired yarn twist/delivery to spindle RPM using caller turns per revolution and transfer calibration; mechanical suitability and speed safety remain external.

Description

Yarn twist relates inserted turns to delivered length.

Yarn twist relates inserted turns to delivered length. Spindle revolutions may transfer more or less than one effective turn under the chosen calibration.

Invert desired yarn twist/delivery to spindle RPM using caller turns per revolution and transfer calibration; mechanical suitability and speed safety remain external.

When to use Twist TPM Yarn Setting

Use this tool to invert desired yarn twist/delivery to spindle RPM using caller turns per revolution and transfer calibration; mechanical suitability and speed safety remain external.

Prepare cocoon, larval, leaf or reeling measurements on a consistent batch and moisture basis. Use the declared mass, length and time units.

How to use Twist TPM Yarn Setting and understand its results

  1. Prepare cocoon, larval, leaf or reeling measurements on a consistent batch and moisture basis. Use the declared mass, length and time units.
  2. Enter targetTwistTurnsPerMeter, deliverySpeedMPerMinute, insertedTurnsPerSpindleRevolution, twistTransferFraction, callerMaximumSpindleRpm using the field table and calculation rules, then run the tool.
  3. Read requiredSpindleRpm, rpmMargin. The explanation below defines the units, signs, ordering and any flags or placeholder values.
  4. If the tool reports an input issue, correct the values and run it again. Apply the stated assumptions when interpreting a successfully returned result.

Use positive turns per revolution and transfer fraction in (0,1], nonnegative target twist, speed and maximum RPM. Return required RPM and maximum-minus-required margin.1

RPM = target turns/m × delivery m/min/(turns/revolution × transfer fraction)

Units, indexing, boundary conditions and exceptional cases are defined in the calculation rules above.

Limitations and assumptions

Mechanical suitability and operating safety remain outside this arithmetic.

Numbers and computed results must be finite; overflow produces an error. Missing required fields, extra fields, wrong value types and violations of the calculation rules are input errors.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use Automatic Reeling Capacity KGHR: Calculate heterogeneous automatic reeling-bank mass throughput from end count, speed, denier, uptime and saleability; not a nominal machine capacity reference. For a complementary task, use Denier From Length Weight: Infer filament denier as grams per 9000 meters, returning sample values and length-weighted pooled linear density; redundant denier/tex conversion aliases excluded.
