Semiconductor Csp Board Level Reliability Calculator

Audit actual CSP board-test observed failures and right-censoring against caller mission horizon, do not count early-censored devices as successes or estimate reliability confidence.

Description

Reliability tests distinguish observed failures from unfinished observations at a mission horizon.

Reliability tests distinguish observed failures from unfinished observations at a mission horizon.1

A right-censored test ending early does not demonstrate survival through that horizon.

When to use Semiconductor Csp Board Level Reliability Calculator

Use this tool when you need to calculate the stated measurement summary or conditional model from matched observations. Prepare independently matched device or specimen measurements, units, branch selection, and model or calibration conventions.

How to use Semiconductor Csp Board Level Reliability Calculator and understand its results

  1. Prepare independently matched device or specimen measurements, units, branch selection, and model or calibration conventions.
  2. Enter observedCspTestCycles, failureObservedFlags, callerMissionCycles, following the field table and calculation rules below, then run the tool.
  3. Read observedFailuresAtOrBeforeMission, knownSurvivedThroughMission, rightCensoredBeforeMission. Use the output table and calculation rules below to interpret units, signs, crossings, and flags.
  4. Correct any input issues and run again. Before using a successful result, review its units, signs, evidence coverage, and stated model or reference assumptions.

Use nonempty aligned nonnegative cycle counts and binary failure flags with a nonnegative mission horizon. Count failures at or before the horizon, any records extending strictly beyond it as survived, and censored records at or before it as censored. Censored records exactly at the horizon remain in the censored output despite its Before name; cycle values may be fractional.

failed=count(flag=1 and cycles≤mission); survived=count(cycles>mission); censored=count(flag=0 and cycles≤mission)

Read these symbols with the field meanings and branch or reference rules above.

observedFailuresAtOrBeforeMissionObserved failures at or before missionnumber
knownSurvivedThroughMissionKnown survived through missionnumber
rightCensoredBeforeMissionRight censored before missionnumber

Limitations and assumptions

Measurements, branch identification, units, and model applicability must be independently established. Results do not supply universal material constants, a complete physical model, or operating-condition approval.

Missing required fields, unknown fields, wrong types, and violated calculation rules return input issues. Numeric values must be finite; nonfinite numeric outputs are rejected. Arrays must be dense, with no missing cells. Numeric lists allow at most 10000 entries, subject to smaller tool-specific bounds above.

Alternative or Complementary methods

For a related task, use Semiconductor PCM Retention Time Calculator: Retention tests contain observed failures and samples still retaining state when observation ends. Those unfinished tests provide lower bounds on retention time rather than failure times. For a complementary step, use Semiconductor Flip Chip Stand Off Height Calculator: Installed flip-chip stand-off is a distribution of actual gap measurements. Comparing those measurements with explicit gap bounds differs from assuming nominal bump height.
