Description
Return index + 1 and independent first and last flags.
Source-scoped cultural and historical records preserve an edition, naming convention, or local identifier. Literal agreement is useful bookkeeping but does not establish interpretation, authenticity, or authority.
Return index + 1 and independent first and last flags.
When to use this tool
Use Public Ritual Sequence Position when you need a precise source-token or range consistency check.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter index, stepCount. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read oneBasedPosition, first, last. Inspect first, last before interpreting the associated values.
Require positive stepCount and valid zero-based index. Return index + 1 and independent first and last flags.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| index | Position under the zero-based or one-based convention stated above. | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| stepCount | Step Count | Required. Safe integer; minimum 1. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| oneBasedPosition | One Based Position | Required. Safe integer. |
| first | First | Required. Boolean. |
| last | Last | Required. Boolean. |

"input": {

"output": {
"oneBasedPosition": 3,
"first": false,
"last": false

} Limitations and assumptions
- A singleton step is both first and last; the tool does not select a ritual sequence, validate practice, or interpret meaning.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
